Local Not-for-Profit Raises Funds for Two Spirit/Trans Program

Thank you to The Imperial Court of Toronto (TICOT) for once again raising donations to support the Two-Spirit/Trans Program at Anishnawbe Health during Pride Week!

Kevin and Ron, from TICOT, stopped by our Gerrard Street location to present the Two-Spirit/Trans program with a cheque from three different fundraisers held to support programming at Anishnawbe Health Toronto.

TICOT's $1225 donation will be used for transportation to help clients get to needed cultural/medical appointments and allow clients who are hungry to get a good meal to nourish their bodies and souls.

Health Centre Construction Update

On August 9th, we traveled to the construction site and checked in on the progress of the new health centre and what will be the future home of Anishnawbe Health.

On the second floor, walls are being primed and at the time of our visit, flooring was days away from being added. Windows have gone in on the second floor as well. We saw the ceremonial space, some traditional healer rooms, and the location of the donor wall on the first floor. We were also able to visit the roof and our outdoor space, which will feature our garden.

We are still on track to move in December of 2023. This project would not have been possible without the generosity of our supporters.
