| | From Autumn's Glow to a Brighter Future: Honoring Our Shared Journey [Hello] hè (Delaware), Se:ko (Mohawk), Boozhoo (Anishinaabe), Taamishi (Metis) As the vibrant hues of autumn settle around us, we find ourselves in a season of change, and reflection. Fall invites us to pause, embracing the gentle cooling of days and the golden glow that marks nature’s quiet transition. With the crispness in the air, we’re reminded of the beauty in letting go and preparing for what’s to come. As we approach the winter solstice, we look forward to gathering in community and celebrating this time of inward reflection. In this spirit of connection, we are thrilled to share that our Orange Shirt Day campaign this year was an incredible success. We are deeply thankful to everyone who showed their support, whether by purchasing a shirt, helping spread our message, or wearing orange as a statement of unity and remembrance. Thanks to the generosity of our community and our ongoing partnership with Old’s Cool General Store, we were able to sell over 600 shirts and raise $7,925—a powerful contribution to the ongoing journey of Truth and Reconciliation. Each shirt worn on September 30th and beyond has helped amplify the message that every child matters. The funds raised will make a real difference in supporting Indigenous healing, health, and community programs. Thank you to each person who took part in this year’s Orange Shirt Day; this was a collective success and an inspiring reminder of the power of community-driven change. We invite you to embrace meaningful activities that foster a deeper understanding of our relationship with the land and community. From gathering and sharing traditional foods to crafting cedar or sweetgrass bundles, these practices invite us to engage with the wisdom of our ancestors and the natural world around us.
